Elegant gilt-stamped binding, and printed entirely in green ink. The ‘Jugendstil’ design is evinced in the special floral motifs and typography. Villiers’ recipes are quite international, representing the cuisine of France, Switzerland, Germany, Italy, America, England, Poland, Hungary, Russia, Holland and Portugal. She explains in the preface that she gathered these recipes during her various travels and is much indebted to a famous parisian chef named ‘Joseph’ of a restaurant ‘Marivaux’.
